Cancellation and Refund Policy
At Travel Traits, we strive to provide reliable and convenient mobile DNA testing services. We understand that sometimes plans change. This Cancellation Policy and refund policy outlines our terms for canceling or rescheduling appointments.
1. Cancellation Window
- Standard Appointments: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time will not incur any fees.
- Same-Day Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the service cost.
- No-Show: If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment without prior notice, you will be charged the full cost of the service.
2. Rescheduling Appointments
- Rescheduling in Advance: You may reschedule your appointment without penalty if you contact us at least 48 hours before your original appointment time.
- Same-Day Rescheduling: If you request to reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, a rescheduling fee of $50 may apply in addition to service fee.
3. Late Policy
To ensure smooth operations and timely service for all our clients:
- Grace Period: There is a 10-minute grace period for all appointments.
- Late Fee: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late without prior notice, a $20 late fee will be applied to your service.
4. Refunds
- No refund is issued once paid in full test can only be rescheduled.
- No refunds will be issued once services are completed or if your DNA kit or supplies have been shipped.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Any cancellation fees, same-day rescheduling fees, or charges for no-shows are non-refundable.
- If travel traits require a DNA sample recollection, and the participant(s) is unable or unwilling to comply no refund will be issued.
5. How to Cancel or Reschedule

6. Exceptions
We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible.
7. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients and posted on our website. The updated policy will apply to all appointments made after the effective date.
